Below is our Universal Reading Schedule, which we have developed to avoid conflicts with holidays and to align with academic calendars. You can use the following schedules as guides when thinking about programming and marketing:
For optimal program management, any group that falls outside of our recommended start timeline will be looped back into our Universal Reading Schedule by the end of the next reading period.
Note that if you opt to take the book club on a hiatus for any given amount of time, which PBC Guru does not recommend, your contract agreement of one year of continuous engagement still stands. You will not be able to add the reading periods you missed to the end of your contract year. For example, if you began in January 2024 (RP1) and due to unforeseen circumstances decide not to participate in RP4 (Aug-Oct 2024), your contract year will still end at the end of the calendar year. You will simply have participated in four reading periods rather than five.
